Ana Butković, PhD
Department of Psychology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb (Croatia)

Ana Butković obtained her degrees in flute and psychology, then her MS and PhD in psychology at the University of Zagreb where she currently works as an associate professor. She is currently a member of research teams on two research projects funded by Croatian Science Foundation: Teacher's personality, emotions and performance: a dynamic perspective and Computational Models for Text-Based Personality Prediction and Analysis. She is also leading an institutional project Cross-cultural study of cultural intelligence among teacher students.

She teaches mandatory (Intelligence, Personality assessment) and elective (Personality theories, Cross-cultural studies of cognitive abilities) courses for psychology and anthropology studies at Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. She introduced a new elective course Psychology of Music and was a principal investigator for 20th Psychological summer school with a topic Personality and music preferences. She is one of the coordinators of Journal club activity as part of the Doctoral Degree Program in Psychology.

She was at short study visits on Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Department of Psychological Sciences, Birkbeck University of London, Santa Fe Institute in New Mexico and at the Department of Pedagogical, Curricular and Professional Studies, University of Gothenburg. She is a member of multiple professional associations, and participated in establishing the Regional Network Psychology and Music (RNPaM).

She is currently a member of a Program Committee for a conference Psychology and Music – Interdisciplinary Encounters.
